Duke Georg II of Saxe-Meiningen (1826-1914), also known as the "Theatre Duke", was the reigning duke of the Duchy of Saxe-Meiningen. He is regarded as a reformer and promoter of the theatrical arts, active as a theatre manager, director and stage designer. As a culturally interested politician, he also promoted music and was an important reformer of politics in his duchy in general.
