A lacquered bronze figure of the Medicine Buddha Baishajyaguru. Ming dynasty, 16th/17th century

Seated in meditation on a large lotus flower, the right hand resting on the knee and holding a myrobalan fruit, the left hand held in dhyanamudra above the feet, a swastika in relief on the bare chest. Old collector's number 120 in ink.
