A kiri wood mask of an old man. Edo period

With very large eyes under bushy browns, a protruding nose and high cheek bones, the open mouth revealing a few teeth in the upper and lower jaw. Polychromy removed.
Height 21.5 cm

Some old cracks, two partly refilled cracks running through the entire mask. The lacquer coating rubbed-off.
