A convertible German 18k gold and Madeira citrine necklace.

Forged chain with 13 buckle shaped links, the front six with stylised gold wire decor, the concave centres set with small cultured pearls (diameter 3.9 mm). The clasp designed as a stylised eight-petalled flower with fine filigree outlines and a polished centre chaton set with a brilliant-cut orange citrine of c. 5.24 ct (c. 12.08 x 12.01 x 7.03 mm). The removable clasp can also be worn as a brooch. Hallmarks: Fineness 750, maker's mark "KLG". The necklace has been shortened, the removed link included in the lot. Clasp diameter 4.5 cm. Chain L 38 cm. Extra link L 2.5 cm. Total weight 60.67 g.
