A Meissen porcelain Chinoiserie teabowl with early saucer

The well of the saucer painted with a Chinoiserie scene, both vessels painted with similar Chinoiseries on celadon ground. Saucer with blue crossed swords mark, five-pointed star dreher's mark, teabowl with blue crossed swords mark with dot and impressed marks. Minor localised retouches, a restored rim chip to the saucer. H teabowl 4.3, D saucer 12.9 cm.
The saucer around 1735, the teabowl after 1763 to replace a broken teabowl.

Other items from this service are housed in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum London (cup and saucer), The Metropolitan Museum of Art (teapot) and the Wadsworth Atheneum of Art (coffee pot, formerly from the Jahn Collection, deceased. Lempertz Cologne Auction 654 on 22nd June 1990, lot 1862). A tea caddy was auctioned in New York in 1976 (Sotheby's on 23rd November 1976, lot 233). Michele Beiny offered a sugar bowl from the service in 2014.
