A Mechelen carved alabaster relief of Jonas and the whale, early 17th century

With minor remnants of former partial gilding. This high relief depiction shows Jonas, the ship and the whale in the background on rough seas and Jonas being expelled from the whale's open maw prominently in the foreground.
With some hairline cracks. In a stylistically matching but associated period frame. 12.5 x 9 cm (with frame 21 x 18 cm).
