An Indian punch dagger (katar) with scabbard. 19th century or earlier

The pointed blade with a central ridge. The hand grip consisting of two parallel bars connected by three cross pieces, one of them fastened to the blade and with an engraved inscription, entirely covered by a thick gilding, the parallel bars with running tigers and leaves on a punched ground. The scabbard covered with purple and partly embossed velvet.
