A Sukhothai bronze head of a Buddha. Thailand. 14th/15th century

Of oval shape with delicately modeled brows and eyelids and full lips accentuated by an engraved contour line, large hair locks cover the head and ushnisha with a ketumala. Traces of gold and red pigment, the eyes inlaid with glass. Mounted on a wooden stand.
