A two-part manjû-type netsuke with Ryûjin's palace. Second half 19th century

To the outside shell a crawling tortoise. Carved to the inside with one valve with the entrance to the palace, the other valve with Urashima Tarô bowing to Ryûjin who is sitting inside a palace building.
