Three-part necklace designed as a scarab with outstretched wings mounted with wire filigree and central twisting body (14.0 x 10.8 mm) carved from lapis lazuli with an intaglio depiction of a ball player. Mounted on an 18k gold chain. Chain hallmarked: Fineness 750, maker's marks. Necklace made in the 1970s using a 19th century scarab beetle brooch. Scarab motif 11 cm. Total L 41 cm. Total weight 21.38 g.
