A Victorian 18k gold enamel ruby and diamond hunting brooch with head of a wolf.

Wolf's head brooch with finely chased fur and rubies for the eyes in an oval surround designed as a belt picked out in royal blue transluscent enamel over guilloche. The mobile buckle and terminal with rose-cut diamonds set in silver. Hallmarks: Modern French gold import stamp "hibou". 4.2 x 3.0 g. Weight 15.55 g.
