A platinum diamond and natural Ceylon sapphire (NTE) ring.

Shoulders and pierced bezel set with 8/8-cut diamonds. With a central cushion-cut natural Ceylon sapphire of c. 9 ct. (c. 13.45 x 11.20 x 7.86 mm, NTE). No hallmarks. Ring band extended and worn down. Bezel 1.5 x 1.3 cm. Ring size 54. Weight 6.28 g.

Gemstone assay report no. 036469 of DSEF, Idar-Oberstein dated 10.10.2023, confirming that the transparent blue stone is a natural sapphire from Sri Lanka (commercial name Ceylon). No signs of heat treatment (NTE). Tested in the setting.
