A Meissen porcelain coffee pot with Hoeroldt Chinoiseries

Model with pointed spout and rounded handle. Decorated with richly populated Chinoiserie scenes in lobed gold lace surrounds over purple lustre ground and finely painted Oriental flowers and insects beneath the spout and handle. The original lid painted with corresponding figures and flowers. Unmarked. A restored chip tp the upper edge on the reverse, minor rim chips to the basal ring. H 18.3 cm.
The porcelain pre-1721, decor attributed to Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt, 1723 - 25.
