A Meissen porcelain slop bowl with merchant navy scenes

Painted with polychrome harbour scenes in quatrefoil gold lace surrounds, with an identical scene in puce camaieu to the interior. With large, finely painted Oriental flowers to either side. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's mark /, 64 in gold. With a semi-circular glaze chip to the inner right beside the cartouche. H 8.6, D 17 cm.
Pre-1721, decor attributed to Christian Friedrich Herold, around 1725 - 30.
