A figural Meissen porcelain centrepiece with a basket

The base formed as a rose-twined rock upon which stand two putti supporting an oval dish with a moulded rim, painted in the centre with a perching bird. Smoothed, unmarked base. Minor chips to the flowers, unobtrusive firing cracks. H 28, W 19,4 cm.
Around 1740 - 45, the model attributed to Johann Joachim Kaendler and Johann Friedrich Eberlein.
