A Meissen porcelain coffee pot with Hoeroldt Chinoiseries

Vessel with pointed spout, curved handle and associated lid. Decorated with Chinoiserie figures in lobed gilt lace surrounds on purple lustre ground. An additional garland motif beneath the spout, finely painted Oriental flowers beneath the handle. Lustre mark 23, dreher's mark presumably that of Johann Martin Kittel jun. The base presumably broken during firing and reattached, restored chips to the spout. H without lid 16.5 cm.
Pre-1721, decor attributed to Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt, 1723 - 25.
