A turned rootwood and ivory goblet for a cabinet of curiosities

Hollow, rosette-form ivory base supporting a shaft made from alternating pieces of rootwood and bone and an eight-lobed cup with original rootwood lid. Each segment with small ivory appliques and crowned by a small rootwood pine cone finial. Inventory no. 560 (?) inscribed in ink to the underside. Minor shrinkage cracks, a filled crack to the edge of the lid, some parts of the shaft glued, some appliques replaced/restored, minor chips. H 31.5 cm.
