A rare hunting knife with an ivory handle

Wrought steel blade engraved with a lion, mythical beast and foliate ornament. The handle carved with a relief of hunting animals including dogs, an elk and wild boar. The elk's snout restored, wear to the relief, shrinkage cracks. L 42.1 cm.
The handle attributed to Scandinavia, second half 17th C.
