A bronze bagpipe player, follower of Giovanni di Bologna, called Giambologna

Cast in the round and engraved, with old patina. A figure of a man playing the bagpipes that has been attributed to a follower of Giambologna by current research, based on the existence of two further identical examples in museum ownership in Berlin and Williamstown (Massachusetts).
The separately cast pipe in the man's hands lost. Minor losses to the patina. Mounted on a stone plinth. Height 14.5 cm (without plinth).
