Signed and dated lower right: J.P.Hackert fecit / Neederhof/ 1762.

These drawings were made during a visit by Hackert to Adolf Friedrich von Olthoff, the administrator of Swedish finances in Stralsund, at his country estate Niederhof, about 20 km from the city. During this stay Hackert also created a painting (C. Nordhoff/H. Reimer 1994, no. 6) as well as the two watercolours presented here.
