An okimono-type boxwood netsuke of Daruma as kamifuki player. Second half 19th century

Seated with legs crossed and holding a flywhisk Daruma has been successsfull in blowing a piece of paper wetted by spittle on to his head. Signed Ryūkei. Signature tablet, paper, eyes and lining of one himōtoshi of ivory.
