A silver tea and coffee service by Paula Straus

Model no. 13024. Consisting of a coffee pot, teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl. The finials and the insulating rings of the handles of ivory. H coffee pot 18.5 cm, weight vessels 1,695 g.
Heilbronn, marks of Peter Bruckmann & Söhne, designed by Paula Straus 1926, produced around 1930.

Paula Straus (1894-1943) worked in the studio of the Bruckmann & Söhne silverware factory from 1925 to 1933 and designed more than 100 coffee and tea sets, candlesticks, boxes, vases and cutlery sets, many of which were also mass produced. The artist took part in numerous exhibitions with her designs and was awarded, among other things, the Grand Prix at the 1929 World Exhibition in Barcelona.
