A French banquette

Carved hard and soft wood, gilded over red bole. A bench with - presumably truncated - apron carved with rocailles, flowers and mouldings, resting on six supports. Stencilled white inventory no. 2828 and black "D.W. 1753" beneath the apron. H 42, W 103, D 49.5 cm. With associated and restored pale red marble top.
