A large gilt and lacquered wood figure of Amida Nyorai. Second half 14th century

Standing on a large lotus blossom above an octagonal stepped base with round lotus cushion, both hands in raigo-in, the robe falling in numerous and differently arranged folds, the eyes of reverse painted glass. The urna on the forehead and in front of the ushnisha of transparent respectively pink-coloured glass. Inserted at the back, a mandorla. The hands restored, very minor losses.

The radiocarbon test no. RCD-10212 of the laboratory RCD Lockringe, dated 31.5.2024 confirms the dating
