A large vase in the style of Hamada Shōji (1894-1978). Mashiko, Tochigi prefecture. 1950s-1970s

Of rectangular shape, on a rectangular, rising foot, with a small neck with a rectangular and thickened rim, the broad sides moulded as very flat pyramids. Entirely covered with a thin rust-brown glaze, with large and small, partially bluish-speckled white and maroon glaze splashes.
