Curved bridge

Ōban, yoko-e. Series: Shokoku meikyō kinran. Title: Suō no kuni Kintaibashi. Bridge over the river Nishiki. Signed: Zen Hokusai Iitsu hitsu. Published by Nishimuraya Yohachi. About 1834. Good impression, colours faded, bokashi, foxing in margin, margins slightly trimmed, paper undulating, tiny hole in upper margin, remnants of tape on margins verso, mounted in mat at corners.

For this print a deviating rain block was used. A print with these same rain lines is in The British Museum, London, under Registration Number 1937,0710,0.183.
