A three-case inrō. Late 18th century

Displaying a rafter on each side, one standing on the raft and holding a pole, the other bent over and pushing the pole into the water, in gold takamakie and hiramakie with a little silver and ceramic inlays, on a black ground with gold dust. Signed Tōyō with kaō. Two small chips. Amber-coloured ojime.
