A Meissen porcelain teapot with K.P.M mark and Hoeroldt chinoiseries

Tapering bulbous vessel with handle and spout issuing from mascarons. With a matching associated lid. Decorated on either side with finely painted chinoiserie scenes showing figures at a table beneath canopies and accompanied by musicians in large quatrefoil rocaille surrounds. Blue K.P.M., coffee pot and lid with gold 16. (reapplied). The lid replaced, the mascaron and the spout restored, the end of the spout reattached. H with lid 12.8, H without lid 9 cm.
Circa 1723, decor attributed to Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt.
