Oil on firm textured cardboard 55.1 x 34.1 cm, framed. Signed and dated A. Jawlensky 37 in violet lower left. - On reverse on the black-painted cardboard variously inscribed and titled, i.a.: possibly by Lisa Kümmel numbered "N. 35" and dated in the middle of card "1937", underneath by an unknown hand titled with red crayon "Dunkelrote Blume(n) auf Blau" ["Dark red flower(s) on Blue"], and twice inscribed by Andreas Jawlensky "Bouquet à l'heure bleue" in white; at upper left with a round Swiss customs stamp. - Partially with minor old retouchings; professionally cleaned and restored. Upper und lower margins formerly trimmed.
