Bronze sculpture. Height 82 cm. Mounted on thin, slightly irregularly shaped bronze plinth (approx. 1 x 34 x 32.5 cm). Signed on plinth behind left figure E F Reuter as well as on reverse at left edge with foundry mark "GUSS BARTH BLN. MARIENDORF". - With light bronze-coloured, partially greenish patina. - Surface slightly soiled.

According to the statements in the catalogue raisonné, three different sizes were cast: apart from this bronze there was also a large (h. 110 cm) and a small version (h. 22 cm). The group, which also became known as "Die Tanzenden" (The Dancers) or "Tanzende Mädchen" (Dancing Girls), belongs to the important early works of the artist.
