Zdeněk Sýkora: Linie Nr.102. 1992
ZWith ‘Linien Nr. 102’, Zdeněk Sýkora, the most important representative of Czech Constructivism and pioneer of computer-aided art, created an intensive work of impressive density. Bands of colour glide horizontally through the pictorial space in languid undulations.
Result: € 605,000
Bartolomé Esteban Murillo: The Virgin of the Rosary (Eden Madonna)
Bartolomé Esteban Murillo is one of the most important masters of the ‘siglo de oro’, the Golden Age of Spanish painting, and his works can be found in the great museums of the world. The great master from Seville painted a total of four panels with the motif of the ‘Madonna of the Rosary’, two of which are particularly similar – the present version, however, is the only one signed.

Karl Hartung: Große Liegende. 1951
“Sculpture is form, nothing else”, said Karl Hartung, who created a form of timeless and holistic harmony based on the model of nature’s creative power. Created in the prime of his artistic development, the larger-than-life sculpture is one of his most important works.

The workshop, run by Abraham Roentgen from 1750 in Neuwied and whose management was taken over by his son David in 1772, was the most famous of its era in Europe. During the fifty years up until around 1800, the two cabinetmakers produced the most technically sophisticated but also elegant and most beautiful German furniture.

A fine bronze figure of Lakshmi (Shridevi). Southern India, Tamil Nadu. Vijayanagar period, ca. 15th century
The graceful pose suggests that the bronze was probably formerly part of a Vaishnava – a three-figure group consisting of Vishnu flanked by his wives Shridevi on his right-hand side and Bhudevi on his left.
Result: € 139,000

Lyonel Feininger: An der Seine. 1912
‘An der Seine, Paris’ was created after a stay in Paris, one which would prove to be groundbreaking for his acquaintance with Cubism and which provided him with a wealth of thematic inspiration. Reworked by the artist several times, the ultimately unfinished fragment is a key work that makes comprehensible Feininger’s stylistic and technical development on many levels.
Result: € 428,000

Georg Baselitz: Der Jäger (Remix). 2007
In this painting from the ‘Remix’ series by Georg Baselitz, themes from his earlier works are recombined like set pieces. ‘Der Jäger’ is characterised by a distinct quadripartite picture surface, the figure in the upper quarter no longer purely suggestive, but clearly recognisable. The four areas are set off from each other in a painterly way – fiery brushwork and pasty colour alternating with surfaces left blank and hints of spray technique.
Result: € 580,000

George Grosz (1893–1959) Ganoven an der Theke. 1922
Without doubt, ‘Drei Ganoven an der Theke’ can be described as a significant sheet from George Grosz’ best creative period. Grosz’ depictions of society life around 1920 are icons of modernity: with Dada-Burlesque humour and a good portion of cynicism, the artist processed the horrors of the First World War.
Result: € 378,000
Jan van Goyen (1596–1656): River Landscape with a Tower, Village and Windmill
Result: € 163,000
Gert Heinrich Wollheim: Dachgeister. 1922
The painting was created during Wollheim’s turbulent six years in Düsseldorf. In keeping with his anarchic temperament, two roof spirits cheer to a world that is out of joint, a proverbial upside-down world.
