Joëlle Tuerlinckx at Lempertz Brussels

From 11 September - 9 October Joëlle Tuerlinckx will be having an exhibition at Lempertz Brussels.

Numerator: one. A task, a mass, a thing, a part of something, a piece of object, a stack of items. Each state. Everyone an actor, though without words.

13 random objects. Or maybe 9 or 15.

Denominator: Museum. The museum, its authority, its norms and conventions, its history.

The abstract object becomes the actor. The constant change: the object, staged, reveals itself, the object "1 / Museum" arises from what it shows and always reminds us of its incompleteness. The exhibited is the beginning: The object displays its roots, its element, its character. Throughout the exhibition period the configuration, in constant change, shows every side.
