Final Note for 2024 at Lempertz

Lempertz can look back on a successful year at all its locations, with unique works of art contributing to a pleasing annual turnover. To crown the year, a distinguished guest visited Cologne.

With auctions in Berlin, Cologne and Brussels, Kunsthaus Lempertz and Venator & Hanstein achieved a very respectable turnover of 57,08 million euro, not including the Online Only auctions. The most expensive work of the year was the painting ‘Mer agitée à Pourville’ by the French Impressionist Claude Monet.
A particularly nice finale was a visit from the former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who had been invited to dinner by the publisher following the presentation of her memoirs in Cologne.

The Christmas Exhibition is open at Lempertz on Neumarkt in Cologne until 23rd December.
