Lempertz moves Asian auction to Brussels

This spring season, works of art from Tibet, China and Nepal will be auctioned in Belgium’s capital city

Following the ‘Cultures – The World Arts Fair’ dedicated to antique, Asian and non-European art, Lempertz will be hold its first auction for Chinese, Tibetan and Nepalese art in Brussels on 15 June.

With headquarters in Cologne, alongside the Tribal Art auctions, Kunsthaus Lempertz also will be auctioning a selection of Asian art at its Brussels branch this spring season.

On 15 June objects from China, Tibet and Nepal will be offered for sale in Belgium’s capital city. The European centre, with its close proximity to major cities such as Paris, London and Amsterdam, attracts collectors from all over the world, and an international audience is also expected for ‘Cultures – The World Arts Fair’, dedicated to antique, Asian and non-European art. For some time, Brussels has been calling for a large auction of Asian art, and Lempertz will fill this gap.

Present in Brussels since 1985, Lempertz opened its new offices in the Rue du Grand Cerf, close to the Grand Sablon, in 2014. Alongside its auction activities, the imposing Art Nouveau building has now established itself as a popular exhibition space in the European capital.
