Daniel Albert Schoen was a landscape- and portrait painter. In Paris he exhibited at the
"Salon des Indépendants" and since 1905 at the "Salon d'Automne". From 1897 until 1904 Schoen was the head of the famous "Atelier de Gallé" in Nancy, well known for its glas art. Since 1919 he was Professor at the École des Arts industriels in Strasbourg (ct. E. Benezit, Dictionnaire des peintres, sculpteurs, dessinateurs et graveurs, Paris 1976, S. 417).
