A Meissen bowl with the coat of arms of Sulkowski in enamel and gilt.

Probably originally a tureen stand. Blue crossed swords mark, pressnummer 20. A rim chip. Diameter 39 cm.
After 1740.

Aleksander Józef Graf von Sulkowski (1695 - 1762) head chamberlain and state foreign secretary under August III and in constant competition with Baron Brühl for his monarch's favour. A large service was produced for him in Meissen between 1735 - 1736, and the present piece is presumably part of a subsequent order meant as an addition to this.
