Four keys for the Houses of Parliament

Of engraved and polished steel and brass. Each engraved to the tops with their intended doors and the titles of their keepers: "Under House of Lords", "Under House of Commons", "Church Door Savoy Chapel / Chapel Warden" and "Trap Door in Roof / Kings Bench Record Office". Length between 10 and 14.5 cm.
England, mid-19th C.

The keys probably originate from the first Houses of Parliament constructed by Charles Barry between 1840 and 1852 after the fire of 16th October 1834.
