An early Augsburg silver gilt coffee pot

Pear-shaped coffee urn resting on three pad feet, the handles formed as female herms. Finely decorated throughout with acanthus decor. The spouts emerging from the mouths of dolphins. The finial of the stepped domed lid formed as a putto riding a dolphin. H 38.5 cm, weight 3,015 g.
