Gelatin silver print, printed early 1950s. 23,2 x 29,2 cm. Bordered along the edges in black Indian ink, photographer's blind stamp at lower left. Another photographer's stamp on the verso. Mounted to original cardboard 43,7 x 34,2 cm, thereon annotated in pencil by an assistant of the studio at lower left edge. Cardboard with label affixed to the reverse of the mount, thereon typewritten titled August Sander: "Das Rheintal von Mainz bis Köln", and with overlay made of cellophane affixed to left rear side.
