A Louis XV style chest of drawers

Palisander, rosewood, maple, and stained wood on oak corpus, ormolu mountings, later Aleppo marble top. Bombé form chest with two drawers and a central cartouche motif with floral marquetry. Some bronzes stamped with crowned c. Older restorations with subsequent losses to the veneer and shrinkage cracks, especially to the sides. H 88.5, W 136.5, D 59 cm.
