A Meissen porcelain chandelier

Metal mountings. Fitted for electricity and including 20 lights. A large ceiling light comprised of numerous individually fired branches issuing from a baluster-form centre. Decorated with musical putti, birds, and hanging flowers. The putti possibly later. Crossed swords mark to the putti. Chips, one branch restored. H ca. 94, W ca. 87 cm.
Late 19th C, after a model by Johann Joachim Kaendler, ca. 1762.
