A three-case inro in a container. 19th century

Encased in a lacquer bag that simulates the shape of a double-sided etui. A four-part roiro-inro to the inside without himotôshi, completely covered with loose, partly cloudy nashiji, with silver Suzuki grasses swaying in the light of a silver moon-sickle above in thin kinji. Nashiji to the inside. Both sides of the container with trompe l'oeil tab at the top. Roiro ground, with a heron on both sides standing between grasses in gold takamakie, partly in fine gold and silver nashiji. A large ojime covered with copper-coloured lacquer.
Both parts with their own, partly sunken cord guide and wide inner rim with holders and clever cross-over guide of the cord, so suitable for use as inro hanging from the obi.
Height inro 7.4 cm; total height 9.5 cm
