An Edo/Tokyo school netsuke of two feasting kappa, by Ryûchin. Second half 19th century

Sitting opposite each other with food on a lotos leaf and a sake jar between them, one kappa pouring sake into the other kappa’s goblet. Signed Ryûchin.
Height 2.9 cm; length 4.6 cm
