A Meissen porcelain service with "kauffahrtei" decor.

Comprising coffee pot, teapot, oval sugar box, slop bowl, four tea bowls and saucers. With finely painted marine and merchant navy scenes in large gilt cartouches filled with purple lustre. The bowl and pitchers additionally decorated with purple "indianische blumen". Blue crossed swords mark, gilt swords mark to the slop bowl, mass mark /, gold 96 to all pieces. The bowl restored over breakages, chips. H coffee pot 20 cm.
Early 1730s, the decor presumably Christian Friedrich Herold.
