A silver-mounted Meissen porcelain teapot with gilt Chinoiserie decor

Early form with tubular handle and spout issuing from mascarons. With original lid. Decorated with two Chinoiserie scenes on scrollwork brackets. Unmarked. Localised wear to the gilding, the tip of the finial cracked. H 12.2 cm.
The porcelain fired before 1723, decorated in Augsburg, Seuter Workshop, before/circa 1730.
