A museum quality Lübeck partially gilt silver tankard. Decorated with a finely embossed continuous fries of the triumph of David. The inside of the lid finely engraved with the arms of the Brandt family, dated 1696; with an owner's engraving "Johan Hinrich Brandt 1750" to the body; inscribed weight "105 1/2 Loht" to the underside. Marks of Lorenz Detberg, ca. 1690. H 22 cm, weight 1520 g.
