A four case inrô. Mid-19th century

A four case inrô with an Okina dancer to one side and a Sanbasô dancer to the other, rendered in gold takamaki-e und hiramaki-e, a little red and black lacquer, the masks carved of wood, one lacquered black, all on a highly polished kinji ground. Nashiji to the inside. Two chips to the cord runners. Mid-19th century. Along with an ojime of shibuichi with chidori above waves in gold, silver and shakudô.
