A 16TH CENTURY WOOD FIGURE OF SAINT CHRISTOPHER, PROBABLY UPPER RHINE-REGION

Holz, ältere Fassung, Stamm vermutlich ergänzt

A 16th century wood figure of Saint Christopher, probably Upper Rhine-Region, carved in full round. Large remains of old polychromy. The plinth formed as earth and water, the saint wearing a short habit and a mantle and carrying the infant Christ.
The log added, minor wear.Height 84 cm.
