Auction house with a long tradition

Kunsthaus Lempertz is a family-owned auction house with a long tradition. Our history reaches back to the late 18th century. We are not only very proud of this, but it also reinforces our passion for art.

The departments and auctions in our auction house include Old Masters, Decorative Arts, Antiques, Silver, Modern Art, Contemporary Art, Photography, Asian Art, African and Oceanic Art as well as Watches and Jewellery. In each department our experts are at your service and are happy to advise you.  Prior to every auction you also have the possibility to view the objects in our previews. Each department has at least one auction a year, most of them two. The exact dates can also be found here on the website.

If you wish to have your artwork evaluated or sold, wish to make a purchase, or are interested in a particular auction, please contact us!

Register to bid online and on the phone in our auction house

In case you are not able to attend at the auction itself, you can follow the sale online. Bidding online is also of course possible – even when the auction takes place in Cologne whilst you are in London. In addition, the auction highlights, results and After Sale can all be found on the website where you are also able to notify us of your bids.

Under MyLempertz you have the possibility to set up a personal profile, to mark your favourites and register yourself for our Newsletter to receive regular information about our auctions and to discover new art.

Cordial invitation to visit our auction house

We heartily welcome you at our auction houses, to browse and order our catalogues and to visit the previews. Take advantage of our services and let us give you a free estimate of your artworks. We look forward to your consignments and your visit. Opening times and information regarding our other branches and offices can be found here on the website.
