A Parisian tortoiseshell, enamel and 18k gold snuff box with a silver hunting scene relief to the lid.

Paris gold fineness 750 for 1809-19, département stamp, unidentified maker's mark "JL". Two cracks, localised repairs, a small loss to the inside edge of the lid. 2.3 x 8.8 x 5 cm, weight 100.4 g.
Ca. 1810, the relief attributed to Jacques Frédéric Kirstein, Strassbourg.
